U.S. Employee Engagement Hits 11-Year Low

Last year, Gallup found that employees in the United States were increasingly detached from their employers, with the workforce reporting: less job role clarity, lower job satisfaction, and less connection to their organizations’ vision.  The same study also revealed that employees were less likely to feel that someone at work cares about them.  Interestingly, this decline in engagement was even more acute in remote, hybrid and younger workers.  By the end of 2023, only 33% of U.S. employees were “highly engaged,” or truly enthusiastic about their work and workplaces.
